Innovative Prague XI

Prague is not only an amazing historical city with a wealth of monuments, excellent gastronomy, cordial residents, and a wide range of events. It is also a modern and innovative science hub. Prague excels in many fields, such as artificial intelligence and robotics, biomedicine, low-carbon technologies, data technologies and selected creative industries, providing ideal opportunities for holding conventions and conferences with the matching topics.

The eleventh edition will bring you close to the reach of space, take you for a walk with robotic dogs, see how it is with a healthy stay in the fresh air, and, at the same time, avoid getting wet during such a stay.

Space within Hand’s Reach

Only three weeks remain until the Czech Space Week starts: it is the largest event focused on space exploration in the Czech Republic. The program will launch in Prague in the last week of November, but various events will take place throughout the Czech Republic. And there really is something to look forward to. The organizers of the Czech Space Week have once again prepared lectures and a program for the professional public, entrepreneurs, innovators, and fans of the space industry. And how is the space industry doing in our country? You may be surprised, after you read one of our blogs on this topic: Prague Sets Its Eyes on the Deep of Space.

Evidence of the success of the space industry in our country is one of the latest Czech projects - the QUVIK space telescope. Scientific community expects great discoveries from it. The project is scientifically managed by astrophysicists from the Masaryk University in Brno and will be led by the Aerospace Research and Test Institute in Prague. The telescope will mainly monitor gravitational waves produced by black hole collisions. The CzechCrunch reported on the project.

Czech Technical University in Prague Trains Robotic Dog Pack

Czech Technical University in Prague has become home to a pack of robotic dogs originating from the workshop of the world-famous American company Boston Dynamics. It provided them to the university on the basis of the excellent results achieved by the university in the competition of the US Military Technology Development Agency. In the Czech capital, the pack is given a special mission. Together with drones, they will learn to guard properties – for example houses. And, of course, they will not forget to treat you like real pets do. The CzechCrunch website informs about how the robotic dogs are doing with this mission so far.

Walk in Fresh Air

A walk in the fresh air has always been considered therapeutic. But what about the quality of the recommended fresh air? Substances found in the air across the country and their impact on the body are being studied by a new toxicology incubator created by scientists from the Czech Technical University in Prague and the Technical University of Liberec. You can read more about where the measurements are currently taking place in an article on the CzechCrunch website.

Weather Minute-by-Minute with Artificial Intelligence

The Meteocentrum website is no newcomer to Czech weather forecasting portals. Nevertheless, its creators still manage to come up with innovations that, according to the founder of the website, are unseen in the world yet. What exactly is it about? Meteocentrum will offer you not only a classic forecast for the coming days, but also a forecast for the coming hours, which uses artificial intelligence and animated map data for its calculations. In addition, it can also predict precipitation for the upcoming hour minute-by-minute or present you with a so-called infinite forecast. This will give you an idea of what the weather will look like next year. You can read more on the CzechCrunch website. We have already informed you about the fact that Czechs are true champions in determining the weather in one of our previous editions of Innovative Prague.
