Circular Serenades: A Multi-Sensory Journey of Art, Music, and Chocolate at The Julius Prague

Katja Loher presents Circular Serenades, an immersive exhibition at The Julius Prague, where visual art, music, and chocolate converge. Inspired by the new Koogle collection, Loher crafts video-sculptures and installations exploring the sensory and conceptual connections between art, nature, and indulgence.

The exhibition unfolds across the hotel’s ground floor. Three video sculptures, embedded in hand-blown glass pieces that celebrate Prague’s rich glassmaking heritage, adorn the walls of the lobby. These glass works, a hallmark of Loher’s artistic style, elegantly frame the videos, drawing viewers into the artist’s vision. Guests then traverse the mesmerizing Mirror Room, where spherical objects are reflected infinitely, creating a mind-bending, otherworldly experience. The journey concludes in the tranquil Winter Garden, featuring a contemplative bubble installation that invites moments of introspection and serenity.

Loher draws inspiration from the flavors and colors of the new Koogle collection, weaving them into a visual language intersecting with the timeless beauty of Mozart’s music. Eye-bending videos bring this concept to life, combining dance choreography filmed from a bird’s-eye view with abstract imagery sourced in the video laboratory, including spherical forms, microscopic images of cacao beans, and chocolate vortexes.

Rooted in the concept of living in balance with nature, Loher’s work embodies a give-and-take relationship with the Earth, highlighting sustainability and harmony in both art and life. This ethos resonates with the values of The Julius Prague and Mozartkoogels, emphasizing eco-friendly practices and responsible sourcing.
