Marriott Hotel Prague Celebrates Its 25th Birthday

Marriott Hotel Prague celebrates 25 years of its presence on the Czech market and reflects on a quarter of a century of providing guests with excellent accommodation and top-quality service. Since its opening in May 1999, the hotel has become an essential part of the Prague hospitality scene, offering visitors from all over the world a unique blend of modern luxury and traditional Czech charm. Thanks to its convenient location in the city centre and personal approach to each guest, it is now popular as a place where visitors return for comfort, well-being and authentic experiences.

Since its opening, the hotel has welcomed thousands of visitors from all over the world who have come to Prague for leisure or business. Over the years, the hotel has hosted a number of prestigious events, from international conferences to weddings, and has become a favourite place of stay for many distinguished guests. These have included international celebrities such as Prince Felipe of Spain, political leaders including Václav Havel, Jacques Chirac and Madeleine Albright, famous opera singers Renée Fleming, Dmitry Hvorostovsky and José Cura, as well as actors Alain Delon, Kevin Costner, Bruce Willis and Lorenzo Lamas. Hotel guests included the Real Madrid team led by Zinedine Zidane and world-renowned musicians and bands such as Linkin Park, Pet Shop Boys, Rammstein, LP and Buena Vista Social Club.

Throughout its 25-year history, Marriott Hotel Prague has also been heavily involved in supporting the local community. It has worked with Czech craftsmen, sourced ingredients from local farmers and suppliers, and has been actively involved in a number of charitable projects. Under the leadership of Chef David Rejhon, The Artisan restaurant has become a popular place not only for hotel guests, but also for local clientele. It offers a varied menu inspired by fresh regional ingredients and emphasises sustainability, zero waste principles and the authentic flavours of Czech cuisine.

As we celebrate this significant anniversary, Marriott Hotel Prague looks to the future with confidence. It plans to enhance the guest experience through technological innovation, a greater focus on sustainability and plans to continue building relationships with the local community as well as international visitors.
