Princess’s Ring – Fairytale Event for Young Visitors at Martinic Palace
On Sunday, 2 March, the Martinic Palace on Hradčany Square in Prague was transformed into a fairytale residence full of imagination for a single day. The unique Princess Ring event offered girls aged 5 to 10 the opportunity to become heroines in an adventurous story and save a magical power of the ring of fantasy. Ten themed chambers awaited the little princesses, in which they completed various tasks, solved puzzles and overcame obstacles to restore the power of the ring at the end of the story.
Historical Martinic Palace where the event took place is one of the most beautiful renaissance buildings in Prague. The exceptional atmosphere of the palace added a unique charm to the whole event. A flying buffet was delivered by FOODWAY catering, a member of the Together group. Part of the proceeds was donated to the Kateřina Sokolová AutTalk Foundation, which supports families with children on the autism spectrum.
Renowned artists participated in the Princess Ring project. The author of the costume design for fairytale characters and the supervisor of the overall design was designer Lucie Marková, who was recently awarded the Honored Fashion Designer Award at the International Festival of Arts in Qatar. She also designed a dress which MISS Czech Republic 2007 Kateřina Sokolová wore in the opening trailer for the Princess Ring, in her role of mother accompanying her daughter. The shoes for Kateřina were created by Oldrich Voyta, winner of the Red Dot Design Award, who also designed shoes for the first lady of Czechia. The original Princess of the Moon ring, the symbol of the whole project, comes from the Fragilità Nuova collection, created by designer Tereza Otáhalíková. This collection, presented at Milan Design Week, won an award in the Ploom Design Competition Curated by Vogue CS.
"Unfortunately, today's children are increasingly entering the realm of fantasy only through impersonal computer screens, movie screens or mobile phone displays. That's why we decided to create a much more intense and immediate experience that for all their senses. At a unique event for little princesses, a magical fairytale world awaits them, where they will enjoy a lot of joy and unforgettable moments," says Miro Barták from the organizing agency QUIX EVENT.
