STARLUX Airlines, a Taiwanese carrier, has selected its first European route as a direct service between Prague and Taipei. The new connection will launch on August 1 this year initially operating three times per week. From October, the frequency will increase to a total of four weekly flights. The carrier will deploy an Airbus A350 900 configured with four travel classes.
“We are pleased to welcome a new carrier, STARLUX Airlines, to our airport’s partner pool. Moreover, Prague is the first European destination to which the airline will fly on a regular basis. We greatly appreciate this new partnership and are convinced that the new regular service will contribute to the further development of tourism between the Czech Republic and Taiwan. According to our estimates, the new route could be used by more than 95,000 passengers in both directions during its first year of operation,” Jiří Pos, Chairman of the Prague Airport Board of Directors, said.
Taiwanese STARLUX Airlines will deploy an Airbus A350-900 on the new long-haul route, featuring four comfortable cabin classes: First Class, Business Class, Premium Economy and Economy Class. The aircraft has a total seating capacity of 306 passengers.
The route will be available to passengers from 1 August, operating three times per week, departing from Prague every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday. From October, the weekly frequency will increase to four flights, with an additional departure on Mondays. In addition to the direct connection between Prague and Taipei, passengers will be able to take advantage of STARLUX Airlines’ network of onward flights to destinations across Asia, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City, Tokyo, Singapore, Osaka, Hong Kong and many others.

In addition to Economy Class, STARLUX Airlines will also offer the increasingly popular Premium Economy on the Prague–Taipei route, featuring more spacious seating, significantly greater legroom and enhanced catering. Business Class will feature fully lie‑flat seats with private doors, forming individual suites. Topping the onboard experience is the exclusive First Class cabin with just four seats. Generous baggage allowances apply, including 2 checked bags of up to 23 kg each even in Economy Class. Every seat is equipped with a personal entertainment screen offering a wide selection of movies and series, including titles from HBO MAX.
Ticket sales will open soon, primarily on the airline’s official website www.starlux-airlines.com, and later through selected travel agencies.
