What happens when a business forum brings together hundreds of MICE professionals in Prague? A lot of meetings, of course. But also a lot happening behind the scenes.
This year, Passion for Prague was proud to be the Partner of the Events Club Forum (ECF), held in Prague from August 30 to September 1, 2026.
The role of Passion for Prague was hands-on. The team managed personal transfers and guides, helping around 250 participants get smoothly between seven hotels, the congress programme and the evening events. Part of the solution was surprisingly simple – Prague’s public transport, which turned out to be faster than road transport for a group that size. And on the first morning, it heavily rained. Thanks to rapidly provided umbrellas, some participants made their own way to the Congress Centre which made our guides to regroup immediately and the programme continued without a hitch. These are the moments participants never notice – and that is exactly the point. That is where having a local team on the ground makes a difference.
But ECF was about much more than logistics for Passion for Prague.
Hana Grafová, founder of Passion for Prague, was part of the programme herself – giving an opening speech and joining a panel discussion on common mistakes in event planning and leadership. One question from the audience stood out: how does she react when a less experienced team member makes a mistake? Her answer was simple: big mistakes are never really that big.
The conversation did not end with the panel. It continued that evening among the team – whether mistakes are really mistakes, and how we help each other grow. Sometimes the most useful questions at a business event are the ones you keep talking about after the programme ends.
And then there was Prague.
After the B2B meetings, participants had the chance to experience the city in a more relaxed way – including an evening at Máj Národní, with its spectacular views over Prague and a completely different atmosphere from a conference room. That shift from scheduled meetings to “just having fun” is one of our favourite parts of MICE events. You see people who spent the day talking business simply enjoying themselves, continuing conversations without a meeting slot in their calendar.
One participant from Ireland put it well: it was the first forum where you actually make real business connections – not just attend another industry party.
ECF also brought an important announcement for the Czech industry: the appointment of Tereza Hofmanová as the new head of CzechTourism. The whole Passion for Prague team is genuinely looking forward to what comes next for Czech tourism and the destination internationally.
For Passion for Prague, that is what made the Events Club Forum special. Not only the meetings – but the people, the ideas, Prague, and everything that happens in between. From coordinating hundreds of participants across the city, to challenging the way we think about leadership, to sharing a view over the rooftops at the end of a long day.
