This autumn, Prague will join the ranks of global metropolises such as San Francisco, Shanghai and Madrid. From 4 to 7 September 2026, it will host the FDI World Dental Congress. This prestigious event will bring together up to 8,000 leading experts, healthcare diplomats, and leaders from nearly 100 countries to the capital of Czech Republic.
FDI World Dental Federation (FDI) is the leading global voice of the dental profession and envisions a world with optimal oral health. FDI represents over one million dentists worldwide across more than 130 countries. FDI works with its members to raise awareness about the importance of good oral health and its vital role in securing overall health and well-being. FDI is dedicated to safeguarding the health of people worldwide through improved prevention, treatment, and control of oral diseases.
For the duration of the FDI World Dental Congress, the global debate on the direction of 21st century healthcare is moving to the Czech Republic. Hosting the congress is an extraordinary honour for domestic medicine and clear proof that Czech dentistry ranks among the absolute technological and professional world elite
The event’s immense social and economic significance is further underscored by its official endorsements. The congress is held under the auspices of the Prime Minister of the Czech Republic, Andrej Babiš, and enjoys massive support from key ministries – the Ministry of Health, the Ministry of Industry and Trade, the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports – as well as the Mayor of Prague and the Rector of Charles University.
World Parliament in Prague: A global debate on health and business
Alongside a top-tier scientific programme, the World Dental Parliament will also convene in Prague. The agenda features crucial political-medical topics with a direct impact on the general public:
