The European Psychiatric Association (EPA) is honoured to hold its Annual Congress, the 34th European Congress of Psychiatry, taking place 28-31 March 2026, in the wonderful city of Prague.

The EPA is the largest association in Europe representing psychiatry. With individual members active in more than 100 countries and 47 national psychiatric associations, it is positioned as a key organisation in the field of mental health and psychiatry.

This year’s motto, “Mental Health: Improving Care and Expanding Horizons”, emphasises the need to enhance mental healthcare across all contexts and for every citizen living in Europe. “Expanding Horizons” underscores the importance of strengthening collaboration with allied professionals and involving experts by experience and carers in the improvement of mental healthcare.

The Congress, which takes place in the Prague Congress Centre, offers the perfect opportunity to share clinical knowledge, advance education, and discuss research opportunities in the areas of prevention, early detection, diagnosis and treatment of mental disorders, as well as in the promotion of mental health among the general population.

Its objective is to broaden participants’ understanding of mental health by promoting a translational approach, bridging the humanities with the social sciences, and fostering dialogue between psychiatry and other medical disciplines.
